Yoshi

A Loyal Friend, A Quirky Soul, and Kevin’s Forever Cherished Companion
Yoshi, "Baby Yaya", "YoYo", a lovable, feasibly feisty and delightfully quirky “spounk” chihuahua, passed peacefully from this world after 11 unforgettable years by Kevin’s side. Though his health had been declining, the moment of goodbye still arrived far too soon, leaving a quiet in the home that feels impossibly loud without the warmth of his presence.
Rescued by Kevin over a decade ago, Yoshi quickly became more than a pet, he became a constant companion through every chapter of life. He witnessed milestones, offered comfort through challenges, and celebrated every joy with a wagging tail and a heart full of devotion. His small frame held an enormous spirit, one that touched and transformed the life of the person who loved him most.
Yoshi had his own special routines that made him; uniquely him. He adored curling up by his heater, soaking in its warmth like a tiny sunbather. His favorite place in the world was his bed tucked under the chair in Kevin’s office; his little den of comfort; where he kept his dad company late into the night. Whether Kevin was writing papers or playing video games, Yoshi was always there, a quiet guardian and loyal shadow, content simply to be near the person he loved most.
Now, Yoshi joins his older brother, Buster, who surely waited for him just across the Rainbow Bridge; tail wagging, ready to welcome him home. The two of them, reunited at last, no doubt race together again, free from discomfort, chasing squirrels, sharing treats, and basking in the sunshine of a place where love never fades.
Though Kevin will carry the weight of this loss, he also carries the immeasurable gift of having been Yoshi’s person. The bond they shared; deep, loyal, and irreplaceable; will continue to echo in every memory, every quiet moment, and every corner of the home they once filled together.
Rest easy, sweet YoYo.
Thank you for every year, every lesson, every moment of joy.
You will be missed beyond words and loved beyond measure, forever.
