Simba Myrick

Simba, a beloved cherished member of his family, passed away on September 7th, 2026, in Cassopolis, Michigan. Simba was a rambunctious, loving, and lovable goober who brought an incredible amount of joy, laughter, and love into the lives of everyone who knew him. Though his time with his family was far too short, the memories he created will be cherished forever.

Simba joined his family on Christmas in 2025 as a gift to the children. To them, he was the “best gift ever,” and that Christmas became one of their most treasured memories with him. From the moment he arrived, Simba quickly became much more than a gift—he became a beloved member of the family.

Simba loved all treats, but pup cups were especially close to his heart. He could never resist his spiked squeaky balls and bones, and he especially enjoyed spending time outside playing with his basketball. His playful nature and endless energy were a big part of what made Simba so wonderfully unique.

At just 10 months old and already weighing 100 pounds, Simba was truly a force of nature. He was affectionately described as a 100-pound wrecking ball with a huge personality and enough energy to keep everyone on their toes. When the zoomies began, everyone quickly learned to steer clear! Despite the occasional chaos, Simba had a way of making his family laugh and filling their home with life.

When it was time to settle down, Simba had his favorite places—either curled up on the couch or comfortably resting in his family’s bed. He was also a very devoted pillow enthusiast. No matter where he slept, he always believed he needed a pillow of his own.

Perhaps one of the greatest things Simba taught his family was patience—and plenty of it. His mischievous personality, boundless energy, and goofy ways taught them to embrace the chaos, laugh at the unexpected, and appreciate every moment they had together.

Simba may have only been with his family for a short time, but he made a lifetime’s worth of memories. He was deeply loved, endlessly entertaining, and truly one of a kind. His absence will leave a space that can never be filled, but the love and laughter he brought into his family’s lives will remain forever.
