It is with heavy hearts and twitching tails that we announce the passing of our cherished cat, Nairobi Golden, affectionately known as Robi, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on January 1, 2026. Born on September 8, 2024, in the bustling little town of Sturgis, Michigan, Robi arrived in our lives as a timid little kitten who quickly captured our hearts and transformed into the playful spirit we adored.
Robi was quite the silly cat, her antics bringing joy to each corner of our home. With an insatiable craving for her favorite catnip Bonkers treats, she brought laughter to our days, especially when she attempted to stealthily swipe the other cats' treats. Her playful nature was unmatched, especially during exhilarating games of tag with her dear littermate and sister, Nala. The two were inseparable, racing through our home and creating a whirlwind of purring energy.
Cuddling was a hallmark of Robi’s charm. She found her perfect snuggle partner in Simba, our male cat, and spent countless hours nestled beside him, embodying the essence of warmth and affection. Together, they created a cozy haven, and wherever you found one, you would certainly find the other right there, basking in the sunlit spots of our home.
Among her many treasures, Robi held a unique love for the torn-off tail from a giraffe dog toy, showcasing her quirky preferences. She proudly carried it around, a badge of honor amidst her feline kingdom, allowing only our dog, Maggie, to join in on the fun.
Window watching was another favorite pastime, as even the most mundane moments turned magical when birds flitted about in the yard. Robi’s eyes were filled with wonder, observing the world beyond our home, accompanied by her fellow feline comrades. Much like a majestic lioness gazing across the savannah, our little Robi loved every moment of her explorations.
When she wasn’t busy being a playful little whirlwind, Robi could often be found in her favorite comfy spots — whether curled up in a scratch-pad bed or burrowing into a warm basket of freshly laundered clothes. Each soft nook was a testament to her need for comfort, and she always managed to find the coziest snuggles.
During the 13 months we were blessed to share with Robi, we watched the transformation of a skittish little furball into a bold and confident cat. Her journey was mesmerizing, as she blossomed into a vibrant presence that sought love and companionship. Climbing onto laps and rubbing against our legs, she became the embodiment of affection and playfulness.
Robi was truly a beautiful and special part of our family, leaving paw prints on our hearts that time can never erase. We will miss her forever — her soft purrs, her playful spirit, and the warmth she brought into our lives. As we remember our beloved Robi, we hold her memory close, cherishing every thrilling chase, cuddle, and mischievous adventure she gifted us. Sleep well, sweet little girl; you are forever missed.
