IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maisy
Savage
February 19, 2026
It is with heaviest of paws we reflect upon the life our dear Maisy, a extraordinaire who gracefully wandered into our lives, curling her soft self into our hearts. Maisy departed from this earthly realm on February 19, 2026, leaving behind a legacy defined by warmth, comfort, and an unrivaled penchant for lazy days.
Maisy was not just any cat; she was the first cat in her loving family, a serendipitous gift rescued on Thanksgiving from Jennifer's brother and sister-in-law, who, as life took over, reluctantly had to let her go. But Maisy took it all in stride; she relished her days spent on her favorite blankets in someone's lap, a true ambassador of coziness.
Those who had the privilege of knowing her will fondly recall her many favorite pastimes, like gazing outside at the world beyond, where birds danced in the wind and leaves fluttered to the ground. Unfazed by the hustle and bustle of human life, Maisy preferred the simpler joys — like swatting around empty grocery bags that would occasionally come her way. They were nothing less than treasure chests filled with adventure for our furry explorer.
Maisy also cultivated a wonderfully entertaining rivalry with her mom, Jennifer. Their daily "chair wars" became legendary in the household; the battle for the comfiest spot in the chair was a spectacle to behold! When she heard Jennifer approaching, she'd leap off Betsy's lap, making her strategic retreat to her beloved chair. The antics of Maisy had a way of brightening even the cloudiest of days, bringing laughter and joy to all around.
Warmly cradled in the hearts of those who loved her—Jennifer, Betsy, and Dave—Maisy’s spirit will continue to envelop her family in soft, furry memories. She was indeed deeply loved which matched her deeply loving personality, and as she embarks on her next great adventure, she will be missed immeasurably. May her gentle purrs echo in our hearts forever.
