It is with heavy paws and hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Hans, who has scampered into the great beyond on March 3, 2026, after a joyful eight years as part of our loving family. Hans was the epitome of loveable, playful, and just a smidge stubborn—a true canine companion who filled our lives with endless joy and, let’s be honest, a whole lot of barking!
From the moment he joyfully joined our pack, Hans took his position very seriously, claiming the spot at the foot of the bed as his rightful throne. Each morning, he would wake us with his enthusiastic barks, always eager to greet the day, and questioning anything that moved or was suspiciously quiet—because you never know when the sky might rain squirrels! He was our furry alarm clock, reminding us that every moment is worthy of excitement.
Hans adored playing ball. Oh, how he loved that game! We spent countless hours tossing his favorite ball, watching his joy burst forth as he sprinted across the yard, tail wagging like a flag on a sunny day. And let's not forget about his many adventures on the pontoon boat! Soaking up the sunlight while lounging like royalty, he truly had a knack for enjoying the simple pleasures in life. Occasionally, he’d dip his paws in the water, but he often treaded carefully, braving the depths only when he spotted something particularly interesting—or perhaps when we weren’t watching closely enough!
His vocal talents were second to none. Hans would voice his thoughts on everything, from the rustling of leaves to the unexpected arrival of the mail carrier, leaving us to puzzle over what had caught his keen attention. He reminded us that barking can transform a peaceful afternoon into an exhilarating event, filled with adventure and laughter.
Oh, how we will miss those sun-soaked nap times, which he steadfastly insisted upon! Hans taught us the beauty of slowing down and soaking in the warmth, a valuable lesson about life's simple joys. Each sunbeam became a little brighter, knowing we had our radiant furball basking right there beside us.
As we remember Hans, we are grateful for the joyful eight years and the indelible paw prints he left on our hearts. You may have crossed over the rainbow bridge, dear Hans, but your spirit will forever linger in the playful barks and warm sunbeams that remind us of your love. Thank you for always being there, our sweet, stubborn little sunshine. Run free and chase all the balls you want until we meet again!
