Donatello Rhodes

With a heavy heart and wet noses, we gather to remember our beloved friend, Donatello Rhodes, who crossed the rainbow bridge on November 7, 2025. He was a loyal pup, whose gentle spirit brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. For 15 and a half wonderful years, he called the Rhodes home his safe haven, beginning his adventure at just nine months old, and blossoming into the loving nature enthusiast he was.

Donatello, with his inquisitive eyes and wagging tail, was truly a bright light in the lives of those around him. He had a knack for turning even the simplest moments into grand adventures. Whether embarking on a sniffari in the backyard or exploring nature’s wonders during family walks, Donatello embraced every opportunity to discover new sights and smells while remaining in the comfort of home. Playtime was an essential part of his day, where he could often be found chasing after his favorite toys or frolicking with his furry friends.

His loving personality shone through in everything he did — especially when indulging in the occasional piece of chocolate or candy when he thought no one was watching. Although it wasn't always good for him, his big puppy eyes could charm anyone into sharing a sweet treat!

Donatello shared a special bond with his mom, Annette Rhodes. He passed away peacefully in her presence, surrounded by the love that filled their home. Their connection began in Three Rivers, MI, where they met through a mutual friend, and from that moment on, they were inseparable.

As we say goodbye to Donatello, we hold dear the numerous memories of the loving pup that brought so much joy to our lives. His adventurous spirit will forever echo in the rustle of leaves, the poke of a ball, and in the warm embrace of snuggles he so cherished. Rest easy, dear Donatello; may your wildest dreams come true in doggy heaven. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
